Our founder
Annie Maples, a passionate advocate for providing quality electronic components, began her journey in the electronics distribution industry at the tender age of 16. She was the first employee of an electromechanical components distributor in Long Island, New York, where she learned the value of hard work and the importance of each component in the vast puzzle of electronics and electromechanics.
After studying communications at New York University and languages in Florence, Italy, Annie graduated from NYU with a degree in languages in 1999. A desire for adventure led her to Rome, where she initially worked as an ESL teacher among other jobs.
In 2001, with no sales experience but a strong business determination, Annie began cold-calling potential customers from her home. Her efforts were rewarded with a growing customer base, many of whom continue to trust PC Components Europe (PCE) today. In 2002, she hired a sales representative dedicated to the French market, marking the beginning of PCE's expansion. Interestingly, this successful hire, Sylvie, continues to be a valuable part of PCE to this day.
Despite facing personal health challenges and embracing motherhood in 2007 and 2009, Annie remained steadfast in her commitment to her business. These experiences underscored the importance of resilience, persistence, and discipline, values she instilled in PCE. Today, PCE sees itself as more than a parts distributor; it is committed to offering the best prices and sourcing the required components to customers as efficiently as possible.
